Hsuan-Fang’s hearing loss was only discovered at the age of three.
At home, she could always respond to louder phrases like “Don’t move!” or “Don’t touch!”, which made it harder for her parents to notice earlier. In fact, the earlier hearing loss is addressed, the better the outcome—but it is often overlooked until the signs become more obvious.
